Dear Friends and Family: I am happy to say that I will be attending GCC’s youth summer mission’s trip in early July at Snowbird (http://www.swoutfitters.com/snowbird-missions/programs/summer). This was a very last minute decision and I have prayerfully asked God to provide the $300. And He has given me an answer: use the talents He has blessed me with for His glory. From now until July 5th, 2011 I will be doing 1 hour photography sessions for $50, of whoever you choose (family, kids, couples, etc.) and wherever you choose. In return, you will receive a CD of your edited photos. The profits will go 100% towards my Mission’s Camp and any extras God may choose to bless me with will go toward sponsoring other youth to help them gain their needed money as well. I had a wonderful time this past Sunday night with the Kavanagh family. Lisa and Michael have three beautiful girls. The youngest of which is a complete natural in front of the camera; such a cutie. Mom and Dad had some fun ways to make the girls smile. Dad would tickle them (which got us some cute laughs) and mom would remind them to think of pleasant things, of which my favorite was: think of chocolate covered ponies! It was hilarious! All in all we had a great shoot which ended in a brief stop in the cotton fields. Got some lovely shots and captured some beautiful smiles!

These little kids are my favorites! They are so hilarious and make me laugh just as much as I make them laugh to produce those natural smiles during a photo shoot. The hilarious part about this particular event was that I was trying to get Zach into something nice to wear picking as many possible "guy" shirts as I could. I had the blue one with the guitar, the black one with the skate board and the list went on. But no, Zach surprised me with the sudden need to wear his pink polo and kacky shorts. Never underestimate the opinions of a little boy.

This last shot was taken because Justin, the person in the photo, works over at The Weston as a chef. Although, he enjoys music as well so we took this shot of him in his chef attire with his bass guitar to mix the culinary arts with the art of music. results were very satisfactory.

I spent my Saturday evening with the members of the local King's Cross band. We headed over to River Street in down town Savannah and after a long search for a parking space we began our photo shoot. Ironically we ended up taking our photos only several yards away from where we parked. After we finished I was invited to join them for dinner at Spanky's where we had a nice friendly conversation over a plate of french fries, honey mustard and chicken.

Josh and Alli's wedding was absolutely beautiful! I mainly followed the bride and the rest of the girls around while Joshua Galemore took care of the guys. Alli, the bride, is absolutely stunning! sorry my blog posts have been lacking lately. I've been busy with a missions trip to New Orleans and then VBS with my church this week. But anyway, my sisters and I headed out on a seven mile hike! it was a blast, and we got some serious calf muscles while we were at it. After walking down a three mile path we crossed a bridge and eventually hiked to a beautiful clearing. It reminded me of Ireland- or at least what I've seen of it in movies. Gorgeous landscape! Tips for fellow adventurers: bring lots of water, wear comfortable shoes that will not give you blisters, and always have a camera handy!

For My sister Sarah's Birthday we ate at Chiriya's Thai Cuisine in Savannah! The food was excellent as well as the service. There was a pretty bad storm going on out side but I personally think that it added to the candle lit atmosphere of the restaurant. The night was a very enjoyable evening with superb Thai and Hawaiian entrees and cheese cake for dessert!

Watermelon, hot dogs, family time and fireworks make an awesome celebration. To celebrate the 4th Of July this year my family and I went over to Tybee Island to watch the fire work show. They were spectacular and I recommend you watch fireworks at Tybee next year! It a great spot and you can hang out at the beach for a while before they start. We had tons of fun and the weather was perfect for the occasion.

The other day I enjoyed a photography lesson with Laura Henderson. She is a SCAD graduate. check out her and her husbands website at "www.openlightstudio.com" She taught me about the camera i am currently using and about what camera and lenses I should buy when I can afford one. Later after our lesson she and her husband went out to lunch and I stayed home and watched there little boy, Boaz. He is such a cutie and so easy to play with. so, it was basically a win-win situation: she gave me lesson and i babysat!
